Tuesday, February 21st, 2023: Governor Kathy Hochul is taking action to give New York State families access to fair and affordable learning opportunities. Please help us reach out to our legislators to keep funding for charter schools in the executive budget. Take a minute to sign this letter for the Governor and support public charter school education.

Monday, February 6th, 2023: In honor of National School Counseling Week, the Science Academies of New York Charter Schools is recognizing all of our wonderful school counselors. They play a vital role in our student's lives in and out of the classroom! Thank you for all you continue to do for our students and their families. If you see a school counselor this week, make sure to thank them for their service.

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022: Gobble gobble! As a friendly reminder, there will be no school from Wednesday, November 23rd through Friday, November 25th to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday! Classes will resume on Monday, November 28th.
Enjoy the long weekend with family and friends, Atoms!

Tuesday, November 15th, 2022: Syracuse Academy of Science Charter School is thrilled to share that our urban youth in the Syracuse area have received a grant from The Baxter International Foundation to expand our STEM work with our students. Their generous support helps us to enhance our STEM programs by providing VR headsets and 3D printers. The funding will also help further our robotics programs, allowing students hands-on experience.
Our students can connect the power of their minds to the thrill of creating, exploring, and generating innovative solutions to solve old and new problems. We are excited about this gift and the support we are getting to develop the next generation of caring and contributing leaders.

Sunday, September 11th, 2022—It’s hard to believe that 21 years ago to this day, our lives tragically changed. Many of us know where we were when we heard the news that day. Some of us heard it on the radio or watched the news that morning. While others may have heard the news from a coworker or a family member, or a friend. A day in history that we will never forget.
Today, we mourn those who lost their lives and grieved with those who lost friends and family. We would like to take this moment to thank all our brave first responders and those who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces. United, we stand.

Dear SANY Families,
Welcome to another exciting school year at Science Academies of New York Charter Schools! It’s hard to believe that it is already the first week of school. It seems like yesterday I was giving the commencement address at the graduation ceremonies and seeing pictures of the Atoms at their Kindergarten graduation and moving up ceremonies. For all the new and returning families, I would like to take this time to say welcome to the Science Academies of New York (SANY) Charter Schools!
It is an incredible privilege to be a part of a community where students, parents, teachers, faculty, and staff care so much for one another and strive to build positive relationships that support academic success. All while encouraging students to become good stewards in the community and helping strengthen and develop character skills and traits that will help students be successful beyond the classroom walls.
The first week of school is always a favorite time of mine as it's a fresh start for all of us. It’s a time of year when we build upon what we have learned in years past and begin the climb in our journey to reach our goals for this upcoming year. There is nothing we can’t achieve when we work together.
While we may not know what this school year will bring, one thing will always remain certain. We are many Atoms, one family, and we can accomplish anything.
Let’s do this!
Regards,
Dr. Tolga Hayali, Ed.D
